About Periscope
The Periscope program serves young adults between the ages of 18-24 in Hennepin County who have experience in child welfare systems. This program assists participants in locating and maintaining stable housing within Hennepin County using local private landlords. Periscope also works with youth that are already housed and does not require previous incidents of homelessness to qualify.
In addition to housing, the program also provides trauma informed and strength based supportive services for youth that include, but are not limited to: case management, life skills education, assistance with education and employment, connections to mental and chemical health treatment, connections to health care services, positive youth development activities, and leadership development opportunities.
Eligibility
Must be a young adult ages 18-24 and have one of the following:
- Experience in Hennepin County foster care
- Experience in Hennepin County children’s mental health
- Experience in Hennepin County juvenile justice systems
Referral Process
Referrals accepted from Hennepin County social workers, probation officers, community partners, or self-referrals. Email or call Program Manager. Additional documentation will be required for eligibility.
