Community & Individual

We all do better

when we all do better.

When you take action to support The Link, you are investing in the health and stability of our community’s most vulnerable youth. When youth have a safe place to sleep and trusted adults who care about them, our community becomes a safer and more equitable place for us all.

volunteer

Join The Link on Tuesday, March 10th from 5:00-7:00pm to help pack welcome kits for youth arriving at our Passageways shelter, Minnesota’s only gender-inclusive shelter that supports children 12-17 as they begin their journey of healing from sexual exploitation. These kits will be provided to youth upon arrival to ensure they have the basic supplies they need to feel safe and comfortable during their stay with us.

Lunch & Learn

Learn from our team and youth about the work we do in the community.

Join us for our first session, which will be held virtually on Thursday, March 19, at 12 pm.

Volunteer

The Link partners with volunteers to help meet critical youth needs in our community. Whether it’s distributing meals, hosting a donation drive, or attending one of our quarterly community volunteer events, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in our mission to support young people!

Meal Prep

Make healthy meals for youth from your own home! Help prepare frozen meals for young people facing food insecurity or prepare family style meals for youth staying in shelter.

Donation Drives

FAQs

The Link relies on in-kind donations to help meet urgent youth needs. To honor the dignity of the youth we serve, The Link only accepts donations of new items with limited exceptions.

If you are interested in donating used items, we invite you to consider supporting one of our local partner organizations:

The Link can accept donations Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm at our Main Office located at 1210 Glenwood Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55405. To coordinate a large donation or a drop off at our CORE Drop-In Center, please contact volunteer@thelinkmn.org for assistance.

All donors who complete an In-Kind Donation Form will receive an emailed tax receipt for their gift.

Make a Gift

Your donation has a profound impact on the lives of youth and families. Together, we can ensure young people have a safe place to sleep, support from a trusted adult who believes in them, and hope for a brighter future.
