Youth Leadership: The Link’s Youth Advisory Committees
The Link is a youth and adult led organization and operates all programs in the model of Positive Youth Development. The Link has five youth advisory committees that are made up of youth that have experienced homelessness, sex trafficking and/or involvement in the juvenile justice system. These committees members are paid, part-time staff of The Link. They design and oversee our programs, staff hiring, conduct training and specialized projects in the community such as the Youth Participatory Action Research Project with the University of Minnesota. All committees and members are essential in gaining true expert insight and voice. The committees also offer the opportunity for youth to gain career development and leadership skills.
