About Project Live Out Loud
Project Live Out Loud is a Rapid Rehousing program for youth who identify anywhere on the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer) spectrum. The program provides housing for youth through market rate apartments and site-based housing in the Twin Cities and provides landlords with rental subsidies. The program also offers culturally specific and trauma informed services that include case management, life skills education, assistance with education and employment, connections to mental health and chemical dependency treatment, connections to health care services and leadership development opportunities.
Eligibility
Participants must:
- Be referred by Hennepin County Coordinated Entry
- Be verified homeless in Hennepin County on the day of intake with a letter from an outreach worker indicating the person is living in a place not meant for human habitation or a letter from an emergency shelter
- Be capable of living independently
- Be willing to participate in PLOL Program services
Referral Process
Youth are referred to the program through the Hennepin County Coordinated Entry system. Coordinated Entry Assessments and updates can be made at shelters, drop-in centers or by connecting with an outreach worker.
