Support Suburban Youth Experiencing Homelessness and Sexual Exploitation

Each night in Minnesota, nearly 5,000 youth experience homelessness. Without a safe place to sleep, youth are highly vulnerable to sexual exploitation and/or trafficking. Studies show 1 in 5 youth experiencing homelessness experience exploitation – often in exchange for food, shelter, or other basic needs.

WE CAN CHANGE THIS.

The Striking Out Homelessness Event raises funds for The Link’s suburban programs designed to meet the needs of youth experiencing homelessness and/or sex trafficking:

C.O.R.E. Drop-In Center
  • Street Outreach in Dakota County
  • C.O.R.E. Drop-in Center in Apple Valley
  • Emergency Shelter for sexually exploited youth and youth and families experiencing homelessness in Dakota County
  • Supportive Housing for suburban youth and youth survivors of sex trafficking

Together, we can continue to provide safe shelter, housing, and services to hundreds of suburban youth as they heal from trauma and build long-term stability
